PHPers Summit is an event that gathers more and more participants and exhibitors every year - and we couldn't miss it (for another year in a row)! What's more, this time we became the Main Sponsor of this event held in our home city of Poznan, of which we are very proud. How do we recall the day? As filled with interesting lectures and panels, amazing atmosphere, engaging conversations with participants (950 people in total throughout the day!), during which it was so sad to look at the clock, rushing to the next thematic block.
As you rode up the escalator to the 1st floor of the Earth Hall at the Poznan International Fairgrounds, did the neon lights reflecting off our booth immediately catch your eye? As you headed to the lecture halls, did you stop to taste our navy blue and purple jellies? Did you find your way to us during the breaks to compete in a cube-setting for an electric scooteror demonstrate your best knowledge of PHP and speed in answering? And finally - have you had a chance to talk to our HR and developers about what we actually do on a daily basis and how we create a friendly work environment?
We hope so - and that you have learned the answers to all the questions that have been swirling around in your head. And for those who feel a shortage in this area, feel free to contact us at any time!
PHPers Summit is not only an opportunity for us to introduce the company, prepare interesting attractions for the participants or talk to them about what we do. It's also a great event from the point of view of our employees, whose development we are constantly trying to support. Representatives from our company took part in Friday's workshop entitled "How to extend and integrate with SAAS using Shopware Apps as an example" led by Maciej Wojcieszak and Kuba Idziak, during which the participants wrote an application in Symfony to add new functionalities in Shopware (which is also in the offer of our company). What's more, our developers chose a number of lectures they felt like attending as part of Saturday's event - all according to their interests and development needs.
The agenda of the event was very interesting and sometimes you had to make difficult decisions about which lecture to attend. We, for one, knew right away that the panel discussion on eCommerce, in which one of the speakers was Michal Staniul, our Head of Project Management, was definitely worth going to! Michal spoke in the company of people active in the industry:
The panel was moderated by Monika Mlodzik, starting with questions about server topics and processes used in eCommerce. Due to the huge involvement of the audience and active question asking and equally interesting discussions between panelists - it was not possible to exhaust and discuss all issues. In a word? An engaging discussion that created a feeling of inadequacy and a desire to organize another space for the exchange of ideas and experiences in the future.
Such an event is definitely worth remembering. What's more, we can already say that next year we will definitely be there too! Will we meet again at PHPers Summit 2023, the 10th anniversary edition of the biggest event for PHP developers in Poland?
