Click&Collect services are gaining increasing popularity among Poles, becoming the preferred form of delivery. According to the "E-commerce in Poland 2023" report, about 20% of online buyers use the option of ordering online and picking up in the store. This year, thanks to the collaboration of SwipBox and Peak Technologies, click&collect is evolving, now allowing order pickup not only in physical stores but also... at airports.
This solution is mainly aimed at airplane passengers who gain the opportunity to pick up shipments around the clock without the need to queue (especially in duty-free zones). Parcel machines are designed not to require external power or constant anchoring, ensuring their availability at any time and place. In collaboration, SwipBox not only provides the machines but also offers mobile applications to handle both deliveries and pickups.
The debut solution has already been implemented at an airport in Ireland, and further steps in popularizing the service across Europe will be taken in the coming weeks and months. A similar form of package pickup has also been proposed by the Polish logistics company InPost – users of their solution can collect their orders at Warsaw Airport.
