Magento stores - concrete implementation examples

Table of contents:

The eCommerce market is becoming increasingly diverse in terms of customer expectations, sales models, and technology. In this environment, Magento continues to be one of the most frequently chosen solutions by medium and large companies seeking a scalable, flexible, and fully industry-tailored Open Source sales platform.

Magento stands out where standard solutions fall short. It enables advanced integrations with ERP, CRM, and marketing tools, manages extensive product catalogs, handles multiple markets and currencies, while allowing the creation of consistent, fast, and optimized shopping experiences – also in PWA or headless models. Importantly, the platform performs equally well in retail sales as in complex B2B processes.

In the following compilation, we present selected examples of Magento stores operating in various sectors – from interior design, through electronics, health and beauty, to automotive. Some of these are implementations by the Advox team, others are inspiring implementations from the market. All show one thing: Magento is a technology that gives companies a real advantage – regardless of industry.

Magento stores in the interior design industry

The interior design industry, which for years relied on stationary sales, is today increasingly boldly moving to online channels. Furniture stores, manufacturers of finishing elements, and interior decorators are discovering the potential of eCommerce in terms of reaching new customers and optimizing sales processes. Magento, thanks to its flexible technological foundation and integration capabilities, responds to the needs of this segment exceptionally effectively.

One of the biggest challenges in this industry is managing a large number of product variants – differences in colors, sizes, materials, or model layouts mean that traditional platforms quickly reach their limits. Magento enables efficient cataloging of even thousands of combinations while maintaining readability for the end user.

Mirat is an example of a Magento 2 PWA implementation that was created in response to mobile customer needs and the growing importance of the mobile-first approach. Advox designed a new front-end layer based on ScandiPWA, optimized the backend and UX, and implemented modules for better product variant presentation, label system, product tiles with image preview and delivery time estimation option, as well as installment purchases (Credit Agricole) with installment calculator. The entire solution was adapted for SEO and equipped with the fast WebP graphic format.

Kratki, one of Europe's largest fireplace manufacturers, is an implementation based on Magento with the ScandiPWA framework. As part of long-term cooperation, Advox performed Magento and ScandiPWA version updates, implemented One Step Checkout, expanded language versions (8 websites), and prepared the ground for B2B development. The result was a stable, multilingual eCommerce with monthly traffic of 180k visits, optimized for UX and diverse customer expectations.

Meanwhile, Homla shows how to effectively combine strong visual identification with convenient purchasing process and smooth operation also on mobile devices. The common denominator of these implementations is thoughtful information architecture, support for multichannel sales, and performance – crucial with high traffic and wide assortment.

Magento stores in supplements and health

Growing health awareness, dynamic development of offerings, and increasing customer requirements make the dietary supplements market one of the most competitive eCommerce segments. According to PMR Market Experts data, by 2029 the industry is expected to grow rapidly, which means even greater pressure on technological efficiency, flexibility, and scalability of sales platforms.

Magento excels in this reality. It not only allows managing a wide assortment but also personalizing content, implementing educational mechanisms, integrating with marketing automation tools or ERP systems. Additionally, it ensures international sales support and full customization of the store front to brand specifics – also in headless or PWA models.

Osavi, Nutrigold, and Powerbody are examples of implementations carried out by the Advox team that show how diverse Magento functions support brand development in this segment.

Osavi – for this supplement brand, Advox created an informational-image platform based on PWA technology, with implementation of detailed product cards, redirects to sales platforms (Allegro, Ceneo), certificate of analysis search engine, and advanced filtering. The project based on ScandiPWA emphasized education, transparency, and user experience – also in offline mode.

Nutrigold – the implementation for this British brand was based on Magento 2 with strong emphasis on content and marketing. Custom account activation process, WordPress integration, Trustpilot integration, and product markings (e.g., Vegan, Gluten Free) were implemented. Website speed optimization and clear structure allowed for increased conversion and reaching a broader audience.

Powerbody – the Magento 2 implementation for this fitness industry brand covered both B2C and wholesale B2B sales. Advox prepared different page variants tailored to the sales model and integrated the system with dedicated ERP and CRM solutions. Thanks to this, the platform supports sales in many countries and enables further international expansion.

Magento stores in electronics and technology

Electronics market requirements make Magento stores stand out with flexibility and scalability – that's exactly why they are so often chosen by sellers in this segment today. Customers expect detailed technical information, current stock levels, and the ability to easily compare even a dozen parameters simultaneously. For sellers, this means the necessity of daily management of hundreds of changes in products, prices, and availability.

Magento becomes a tool that organizes complex operational processes. Implemented solutions focus on product management automation (e.g., data import from manufacturers or distributors), integrations with external databases, and precise filtering of results according to technical criteria.

An example of such an approach is the Magento implementation for our international client Elektra LT – a leader in the electrical installation market in Lithuania, which focused on expansion in the CEE region. The project involved launching a B2B and B2C platform operating in four markets (Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Sweden), built in PWA technology and adapted to the needs of two different customer groups. Magento 2 in this implementation handles:

  • dynamic product presentation (e.g., cables by meters and spools),
  • displaying cable “scraps” as cheaper alternatives,
  • cart with CSV/XML file import and SKU,
  • expanded product cards with availability date and dimensions,
  • flexible delivery options depending on order type,
  • RMA forms, GDPR compliance and Omnibus Directive,
  • intelligent ElasticSearch search engine.

The platform was also enriched with a set of dedicated B2B functions – from accounts with permissions, through purchase limits and trade credit, to notifications, invoices, and ERP integrations. Additionally, multistore was implemented with content personalization and pricing strategies for each market, along with SALESmanago integrations and local payment methods.

Stores such as Eltrox and Emast well demonstrate how Magento supports sales in the demanding electronics segment — both in terms of offer organization and customer service with different needs. Flexible functionality expansion, effective product presentation, and solution scalability make the platform work well in both B2C model and more complex B2B scenarios.

Magento stores in the beauty industry

The beauty industry in eCommerce is based on completely different priorities than in most product categories. Key importance here lies in aesthetics, brand building, and personalized visual presentation, which together create an engaging shopping experience.

Added to this are functions supporting seasonal promotions, set sales, or loyalty programs – all fully optimized for mobile devices, which dominate in this category.

Magento stores give cosmetic brands wide possibilities to adapt to image and communication strategy, while enabling precise management of product offerings – often complex with many lines, variants, and limited editions.

According to Exploding Topics data, the scale and pace of development of this industry only confirm how important it is to have flexible and efficient technological support:

  • The cosmetics industry generates worldwide revenue exceeding $650 billion.
  • By 2025, the skincare market value is expected to reach $177 billion.
  • By 2030, the men's cosmetics segment is expected to reach a value of $276.9 billion.
  • In 2022, cosmetic companies spent $7.7 billion on advertising.
  • Online cosmetics sales amounted to $17.09 billion.

Asambeauty, an Advox implementation, is one of the largest Magento 2 PWA implementations in Europe. The migration from Magento 1 was combined with Progressive Web App technology implementation, which allowed reducing product page loading time to below one second and significantly increasing conversion. The project included advanced filtering, recommendation system, product cards with video and INCI composition, ElasticSearch search engine, payment integrations (including Amazon Pay), personalized promotions, wish lists, and full adaptation to omnichannel model.

See case study of Magento store implementation for Asambeauty.

Stores such as Tołpa and Skinandbeauty show how diverse approaches – from minimalist interfaces to extensive educational content – can be effectively implemented on Magento. The platform enables flexible campaign management, implementation of new product lines, and adaptation of shopping experience to the needs of the most demanding customer.

Magento stores in stationery and office supplies

The stationery and office industry is an eCommerce segment based on large scale, wide assortment, and significant share of business customers. Stores in this area must be not only fast and intuitive but also flexible in terms of integrations, pricing policy, and user management. Magento 2 performs very well in such realities, as confirmed by implementations carried out by Advox.

Artim is an example of an advanced B2B platform created on Magento 2. The implementation included dynamic price lists connected to ERP system (updated for 20 million indexes), extensive user account functions, shopping lists, simplified RMA path, and advanced ElasticSuite search engine. The whole was designed with process automation and high usability for institutional customers in mind.

See case study of Magento store implementation for Artim.

Equally important project is the Herlitz store, where Advox was responsible for both development and UX/UI. The implementation included SAP integration, advanced search and filtering (ElasticSuite), promotional and custom labels (e.g., "New", "Sale"), and One Step Checkout, which significantly shortens the purchasing process and supports conversion. Additionally, integrations with Przelewy24 and InPost were implemented – including parcel locker map.

See case study of Magento store implementation for Herlitz.

Both implementations show how important is the optimization of purchasing processes, price automation, and efficient integration with internal systems – especially in a segment operating on a large scale and serving B2B customers.

Another example in this category is the Atakto store, which well illustrates how Magento can support sales in a multichannel model, taking into account seasonality, goods rotation, and fast logistics requirements.

Magento stores in automotive

The automotive industry is a segment where eCommerce must meet very specific user expectations – from specialized product filtering, through integration with parts databases, to the ability to efficiently compare technical parameters. Customers expect wide selection, complete information about product compatibility with specific vehicles, and the ability to purchase through various channels – both online and offline.

Magento excels in this context, offering extensive product configuration possibilities, precise search engines, dedicated modules, and integrations with ERP, CRM, and logistics systems.

One of the best examples of implementations in this industry is the DobreSklepyMotocyklowe project, carried out by the Advox team for Powerbike. This is an advanced automotive store operating in omnichannel model – connected with a blog, network of partner stores, and additional brands (including Rebelhorn). The implementation included:

  • full ERP integration and dynamic synchronization of product data and orders,
  • product registration module within Assistance programs and 5-year warranty,
  • advanced search engine with suggestions and result visualization,
  • equipment comparator and custom motorcycle parts Configurator,
  • "Pick up on route" module with store map and option to order product to selected stationary point without delivery costs,
  • content management system integrated with blog and product cards.

The project opened the company's path to online retail sales and simultaneously enabled the development of a new customer communication model – based on knowledge, usability, and full access to the offer.

Stores such as Nocar and Yakima show how Magento can support sales of automotive accessories and equipment, taking into account seasonality, extensive parts catalog, product availability, and search support tailored to specific vehicle models.

Magento stores in the fashion industry

The fashion market is the undisputed leader of European eCommerce – in 2024 it reached a value of $149 billion USD (aboutmarketing.pl). The scale and competitiveness of this sector mean that stores must meet exceptional technological and operational challenges.

Key importance here is given to extensive category and subcategory trees, which allow users to quickly navigate within thousands of products and collections. Also important is the ability to filter by features such as material type, cut, or size, which facilitates matching offers to customer expectations.

Returns, which in the fashion industry constitute a natural element of the purchasing process, are also significant. Magento enables implementation of transparent and automated RMA procedures, making return handling fast and trouble-free for both customer and store.

Product recommendation personalization is gaining increasing importance – modules like "match to styling", "others also bought", or "see in set" are becoming not just an addition, but practically a standard in fashion eCommerce. Magento allows integrating these functions with AI/ML systems, which increases cross-selling and improves user experience.

Omnichannel sales – combining online store with stationary boutiques – is another distinguishing feature of the fashion sector. Magento enables sales channel integration, allowing customers to smoothly transition between online and offline shopping: from checking product availability in store, through salon reservation, to returns and exchanges regardless of purchase channel.

Examples such as 4F, Lamania, and Kazarstudio show how different clothing brand strategies can be implemented based on Magento – from strong emphasis on user experience and mobile sales, to comprehensive offer and promotion management in multiple markets simultaneously.

Magento stores in children's products

The children's products industry is distinguished by specific requirements – customers pay attention to product safety, quality, and wide selection of variants adapted to the child's age and needs. In practice, this means the necessity of managing an extensive catalog including strollers, car seats, toys, or accessories, while maintaining intuitive store operation and efficient logistics.

Magento allows meeting these challenges, offering support for multiple language versions, integrations with PIM and ERP systems, and the ability to conduct sales in different markets from one administrative panel.

Kinderkraft, an Advox client, is an example of a brand that uses Magento in its European expansion. Our team performed Magento update to the latest version, frontend modernization in Hyvä technology, and integration with Ergonode PIM system. The project also included preparing the store for entering the Czech market – from translation structure to tests and adapting the service to greater traffic load.

The work results included:

  • improving data security and store stability,
  • organizing product data through PIM,
  • adapting the platform to European Accessibility Act requirements,
  • preparing infrastructure for further international expansion.

Thanks to this, in just 3 months Kinderkraft launched sales in the Czech Republic, and the store became technologically ready to serve additional markets.

See case study of Magento store implementation for Kinderkraft.

Alongside Kinderkraft, examples such as Zabawkaiwyprawka and Hoplano show that Magento is an appropriate solution for stores offering diverse assortment and following the principle of simple, convenient purchasing process.

Magento stores in B2B and industrial segments

In the B2B and industrial segment, eCommerce is characterized by complex purchasing processes, individual trading conditions, and integration with business systems. Contractors expect not only a wide product catalog but also tools that facilitate placing large orders, handling cyclical contracts, or negotiating prices. Magento stores in the B2B segment show how easy it is to combine wholesale and retail sales based on stable technology.

Kratki, an Advox client, created with us a modern B2B platform based on Magento that complements their existing B2C store. The solution serves contractors from over 60 markets worldwide and offers:

  • over 100 payment gateways and 20 types of shipping,
  • over 300 custom modules for B2B processes,
  • dynamic product configuration with automatic price calculator,
  • shopping lists and order import from CSV files,
  • full ERP integration,
  • compliance with European regulations (including Omnibus directive, GDPR).

An additional distinguishing feature was the implementation of VR and AR experiences – from 3D models and augmented reality presentations, to the ability to visualize fireplaces in customer rooms and real-time order personalization.

Solutions such as Magento Multistore, which allow conducting B2B and B2C sales within one system instance, are also gaining importance. This enables:

  • managing separate catalogs and pricing policies for contractors and individual customers,
  • adapting appearance and functionality to segment character,
  • handling different payment methods (e.g., deferred payments in B2B, fast online payments in B2C),
  • centrally managing all stores from one administrative panel,
  • easily scaling business to additional markets.

This approach allows maintaining technology consistency while differentiating customer experiences – business and individual. This proves that Magento is a platform capable of handling even the most demanding industrial and international sales scenarios.

Magento – one solution for many industries

Analyzing the presented examples of Magento stores, it's clear that although each industry has its specific requirements, they all share the need for stable, flexible, and scalable technological foundation.

Flexibility – Magento allows adapting the platform to business character: from simple B2C configurations to complex B2B scenarios with individual price lists, shopping lists, or ERP system integration.

Integrations – furniture, automotive, or cosmetic stores use external systems (ERP, CRM, PIM, marketing automation), which Magento handles without problems. It's precisely these connections that determine the smoothness of sales processes and customer service quality.

User experience (UX) – from personalized recommendations in fashion, through motorcycle parts configurators, to extensive search engines in the supplements industry – Magento enables building interfaces that support purchasing decisions and build customer loyalty.

Modern technologies – implementations based on PWA or Hyvä show that Magento can be fast, lightweight, and fully adapted to the mobile-first model, which is crucial in today's eCommerce.

All this makes Magento a platform for companies that want to grow – regardless of industry, catalog size, or scale of operations. It provides space for international expansion, omnichannel support, and building shopping experiences that truly distinguish the brand in the market.
